  On January 29th, 2010, Japan Literary Program Study is held a workshop with theme "A THESIS GUIDELINE IN WRITING IN JAPANESE STUDIES: CULTURE, LANGUANGE, AND LITERATURE" at the Auditorium Indonesia Computer University (UNIKOM). The event is held in cooperation between the Japanese Studies Association of Indonesia (ASJI) West Java Region and ASJI Headquarters, The Japan Foundation Jakarta and Japanese Literary Program of  UNIKOM, is attended by 250 participants from among students and lecturers from various universities in West Java.

It is also attended by Kanai Atsushi - Director of The Japan Foundation, Dr. Siti Dahsiar Anwar - Head of ASJI Headquarters and Yuyu Yohana Risagarniwa, M.Ed., Ph.D - Head of ASJI West Java Region and is greeted directly at the rector’s office by Dr. Ir. Eddy Soeryanto Soegoto – UNIKOM’s Rector, Prof. Dr. H. Moh. Tadjuddin, M.A. - Dean of Faculty of Literary and Soni Setiana Mulyawan, M.Pd. - Head of the Workshop Committee and Head of Japan Literary Program. The speakers are Miyuki Hamaguchi from the Japan Foundation - Kansai, Naoyuki Kitani from The Japan Foundation - Jakarta, Sushanty Chandradewi and Nandang Rahmat, MA, Ph.D. from University of Padjadjaran (UNPAD) Bandung.

A good cooperation between Indonesia and Japan which have long existed in fields such as education, cultural, social and economic, and technology, makes the two countries are always in harmony and have lots of similarities between some characteristic differences, Atsushi Kanai said in his speech. Exchange ideas and learn each other's respective country culture – is still doing so far, it is proved by many Indonesia students who are interested in doing research about Japan. Regarding to this, the Japanese government supports the provision of facilities such as sites, the data in the library, and other information can be obtained through the center of Japan such as The Japan Foundation and Association of Japanese Studies (ASJI).

The workshop is for the interests of the researchers so they will get the guide to Japanese culture, language and literature.
