|"Democracy Video Challenge" Contest held annually by the U.S. government in collaboration with various partners, which aims to accommodate the aspirations, sound and discussion regarding the process and the changes of democracy, "Democracy is .....".
In the contest "Democracy Video Challenge 2010" the second, UNIKOM formed a team consisting of Isabel Ximenes, Rengga Indrayana, Frian Indrasmara, Rizki Rahmawati, Annesia Cassandra, Wenaldy Andarisma, and Immanuel Hutahean also accompanied by two mentors Andrias Darmayadi, M. Si and Irwan Tarmawan, S. Sn, participate by sending 6 video works.
Based on information from the U.S. Embassy has signed hundreds of videos from all over Indonesia to follow this contest. Phase Selection made by the jury to determine 10 best videos, then selected again until 5 best video until 3 top best video for Indonesia territory. UNIKOM managed to put 2 videos, "Democracy is Satisfaction" by Isabel Ximenes and Rengga Indrayana and "Democracy is the Reality" by Rizki Rahmawati and Frian Indrasmara, enter in "TOP 5 Indonesian Democracy Video Challenge 2010".
UNIKOM team who accompanied by the student mentors Andrias Darmayadi, M. Si and Irwan Tarmawan, S. Sn, received the award at the residence of Vice Ambassador of USA given by Ted Osius, Deputy Chief of Mission in Jakarta, On 13 April 2010. At the same time announced 3rd best videos from Indonesia, one of them "Democracy is Satisfaction" by Isabel Ximenes and Rengga Indrayana as the best video achievement and also will represent Indonesia at the event "Democracy Video Challenge 2010" for Asia-Pacific Contest.
In the event award winners, present the winner of "Democracy Video Challenge 2009" last years from the Philippines and Nepal, representing the Asia Pacific region. The team from UNIKOM talked to share ideas and experiences in the search for the video creation process. In addition the event attended by the event organizers of "Democracy Video Challenge" event from Washington DC to express highly appreciation to Indonesia for being the country with the largest participant contribution in the world.
