The Student National Competition in the Information Technology and Communication Field (GEMASTIK) was re-held by The Directorate of Higher Education. For 2010, GEMASTIK was held in Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya.
The Center of Information and Public Relations, Ministry of National Education in their press conference, Wednesday (September 9, 2010) reported that semifinal stage of the 3rd GEMASTIK was attended by 4.268 students from 94 universities in Indonesia.
From the mentioned amount, 400 students from 30 universities passed the selection to enter final stage in this innovation and technology competition.
The final stage was conducted in ITS on October 5-6, 2010 to determine three winners and competing for 22.5 million rupiah total reward for each category.
In the final of GEMASTIK 2010, UNIKOM student team succeeded to pass 5 teams for 3 categories, including: smart tools category consist of 3 persons, Web Design category consist of 1 person, Scientific Paper category consist of 3 teams with 1 person in each team.
From five teams, finally 2 UNIKOM’s student teams succeeded to achieve The National Winner for ICT Scientific Paper category and Smart Tools Category, which also placed UNIKOM on The Top 4th National Gemastik 2010.
On this national competition, Gold Medal was achieved by Rizki Rakhmawati, student of the 3rd semester from International Relations Department with her scientific paper with topic: “The Role of Information and Electronic Transaction Regulation as Indonesia Cyber law toward Cyber stalking Problem” with supervisor lecturer Yesi Marince, S.IP., M.Si. On the other hand for smart tools category, UNIKOM was succeed to achieve Bronze Medal. This topic was represented by 3 students. They are: Sandi Sugandari, Aulia Rahman, and Dede Sitompul from Electrical Engineering Department with topic : “The Design of Flight Robot Model as Alternative Tools to Distribute Donation for Catastrophe Victim to Isolated Area” with supervisor lecturer Moch. Aria, ST., MT.
In the occasion of Scholarship submission on even semester 2010 for around 200 UNIKOM’s students in UNIKOM’s Auditorium, UNIKOM’s Rector congratulated and expresses his pride for their achievement in GEMASTIK competition. For that achievement, Rector gave scholarship to all students who won the GEMASTIK 2010 competition. |
