The 39th National Japanese Speech Contest for students that was held by The Japan Foundation, Jakarta cooperating with Japanese Alumnae Associates (PERSADA) and RRI Jakarta that was situated at RRI Auditorium- Central Jakarta on Saturday, June 12, 2010. The competition that was broadcasted lively by RRI got support from The Japan Airlines, The Jakarta Japan Club (JJC), PT. Panasonic Manufacturing Indonesia, PT Hoyu Indonesia, Kracie, and The Embassy of Japan & Japan Overseas Enterprises Association (JOEA). It was presented by His Excellency Shiojiri Kojiro, The Ambassador of Japan for Indonesia and Mr. Kanai Atsushi, Director General of Japan Foundation Jakarta. In his opening ceremony speech, H.E. Shiojiri Kojiro hoped that through this event, the cooperation between Indonesia and Japan would be much closer.
The event that was watched by Indonesian and Japanese, also was livened up by breaking show that presented Japanese and Indonesian art from the students of Japanese Literary Department such as RAMPAK KENDANG and ANGKLUNG performance from SADAYA performer of UNIKOM and TAIKO games (special musical instrument from Japan) by “KinRyuuZakura Taiko” group, Bina Nusantara University, Jakarta and a presentation of Japanese songs by Al-Azhar Indonesia University Choir – Jakarta.
In the National Japanese Speech Contest, there were 14 participants including the students of Japanese Department – the winner of Regional Japanese Speech Contest to represent their region, they were 3 persons from Jabodetabek, 3 persons from West Java, 2 persons from Yogyakarta, 2 persons from East Java, 2 persons from Sumatera, 1 person from Sumatera, 1 person from Bali and 1 person from Sulawesi. The representatives of West Java are 2 UNIKOM’s students and 1 student from UNPAD. Both of the UNIKOM’s student that were participated in the competition is also as the winner of the previous Japanese Speech Contest on Japanese Culture Week or Bunkasai XXXVI in West Java Region.
The participants in this national competition performed various interesting topic including discussion about social, culture aspect, Japanese and Indonesian community and about the relation between two countries.
In the competition, UNIKOM’s students Agung auliya Barkahpresented interesting topic “Anata wa hon o kaou to suru toki, ichiban saisho ni doko o mimasuka” that means “What did you see for the first time when you buy a book” and Yoza Achmad Adidaya, presented topic ”Tsutaeyou kansha no kotoba” that means “Lets present our thankful”.
Both of the students performed confidently and got success to be the 2nd National Winner and 3rd National Winner 2010; they beat the winner from various regions in Indonesia. Both of them got the appreciation for their performance and presentation in front of the judge.
Besides getting the trophy and present, Agung Auliya Barkah will also represent Indonesia to ASEAN in Tokyo in Oktober 2010 in “ASEAN Japanese Speech Contest 2010”. |
