Top 100 South East Asia World Rank 2012
The World Rank Organization, Webometric (www.webometrics.info), on January 2011 did an assessment to more than 20.000 universities in the world and announced the universities in the world which were on the list of the Top 12.000 World, Top 100 Asia, Top 100 South East Asia, and other world ranks.

Webometric measured the activities and visibility of an institution that describes the improvement of the university in world-higher education-field through its website, and it is a good indicator that has a good impact for university's prestige. The rank is covering global working performance of the university; giving information for student candidates, scientists, stakeholders and shareholders, and describe its commitment of science knowledge spreading in the global level.

Webometric is a mapping of university's strength in the Social Networking field, both of internal and external fields to stimulate universities for its participation to the society, one of them is research publication.

In the Top 100 South East Asia 2011, 29 universities from Indonesia are on the list (from 3200 universities in Indonesia), 5 of them are universities from West Java Province: ITB, IPB, UNIKOM, UPI, and UNPAD.

The rank of each university from West Java which are in the Top 100 South East Asia, are: ITB rank 15, IPB rank 41, UNIKOM rank 49, UPI rank 69, and UNPAD rank 70. The highest rank from Indonesia is achieved by UGM in the 7th rank, UI in the 8th rank, and ITB in the 15th rank.

Indonesia Computer University (UNIKOM) becomes the only private university from West Java that succeeds to be in the Top 100 South East Asia 2011 and get 49th position. For the World Rank, more than 20.000 universities in the world were scored; UNIKOM is in the 1382th rank. While for Scholar or Expertise, such as paper or scientific work and notes which is found in Google Scholar, UNIKOM achieves 22th world rank.

UNIKOM's achievement in the Word Rank keep increasing, it can be shown that in January 2010 UNIKOM was in the rank of 6405, on July 2010 was in the rank of 5741, and January 2011 rose to the rank of 1382(4359 rank rise).

Other universities in Indonesia which are on the Top 100 South East Asia 2011 are: PENS in the 83th rank, BINUS in the 87th rank, UNHAS in the 93rd, and UNBRAW in the 98th rank.
