  Semester Credit (SKS)  
     
  Semester Credit (SKS) is a unit used for stating:  
     
 
1. The total of students’ study load.
2. The total of students’ endeavor to finish a program, either in terms of semester program or a complete degree program.
3. The total of lecturers’ endeavor of lecturing.
 
     
  For Student  
     
  1 SKS mean:  
 
1. 45/ 50 minutes of regular class meeting with the lecturer (lecturing).
2. 60 minutes of structured academic activities (home works and assignments).
3. 60 minutes of independent academic activities (library research, etc)
 
     
  For Lecturer  
     
  1 Credit is defined as:  
 
1. 45/ 50 minutes of regular class meeting with the students (lecturing).
2. 60 minutes of teaching planning and structured evaluation of academic activities.
3. 60 minutes of material development.
 
     
  Credit for Practical/laboratory Work  
     
  1 Credit is defined as:  
  Two to three hours a week of study and assignment in the laboratory but 45/ 50 minutes a week of practical work of computation.  
     
  Credit for Job Training  
     
  1 Credit is defined as:  
  Four to five hours a week of a training conducted in the field.  
     
  Credit for Thesis/ Final Assignment  
     
  1 Credit is defined as:  
  Three to four hours a day in 1 month (25 days) of research assignment.
